Being in Kate's presence, I felt happy and wanted to be closer to her. I felt like I needed to get to know her better.

After a long while of chatting and forgetting why I was here in the first place, I noticed it was getting dark. I stood up as I looked at her and spoke.

"I think I will start going, okay? I don't want my mom to be worried."

Saying that, just as I was about to leave, she stopped me and spoke.

"Do you have a cell phone?"

I looked at her and wondered why she asked me that, and that's when I remembered Linda gave me back the phone.

"Yes, I do. Why do you ask?"

She looked at me, laughed, and hit me on my left shoulder as if I had just said a joke.

"I want to give you my number so you can call me, okay?"

I gave her the phone, and she input a number ID and then put her name in it.

"When you're free, you can give me a call, okay?"
