I could see the way my parents looked at me with shock in their eyes. It was as if they were not expecting me to ask that.

"Who told you that?" my mom said as she stood up and stared at Aunty Alex.

"Is this true? Are you trying to bring up issues between me and my daughter? Why did you come back here anyway?"

I stood up and walked over to my mom, putting her hands down as she pointed at Aunty Alex.

"Tell me the truth, mom. I want to know, is Andrew really my brother?"

The shock on my parents' faces grew, and that was when my dad stood up and walked over to me.

"Linda, who told you this? Why are you asking us this? Are you trying to make us sad?"

I pushed his hands away from me as I looked at him. They should tell me the truth because even the look on their faces told me that something was really not right.
