Chapter 71: Surviving the night

That night was just the beginning of my nightmarish reality. Because the following days and nights... my thirst had become unbearable and hard to handle.

I scratched my neck, feeling this blistering heat coursing through my body. I was thirsty. I crawled down the bed, reaching for the bottle Augustus gifted me during my wedding. Fortunately, Luis kept his promise and didn't visit me during the night.

"Damn..." I breathed out, pulled out the bottle, and opened it in a hurry. Without regards to the title as the second noblest woman after the empress, I chugged the bottle of blood to hydrate myself. Only then did this heat subside that woke me up in the middle of the night. 

I rested my back against the bed, slumped on the floor with the bottle in my hand. I started my diet quite smoothly, but it was working less and less. 

"Damn Ross bloodline..." I ground my teeth, breathing heavily to calm my trembling body. "... fucking monsters."
