Chapter 81: I know everything

I fell asleep. That was the first thought that came into my consciousness even before I could open my eyes. I let out a moan, stretched my arms and legs. I rolled to my side where my husband laid down last night, opening my eyes ever so slowly. 

"Mhm?" came out a low hum, blinking ever so slowly as I looked up. "Lu?"

Luis slowly set his eyes on me, keeping his silence. My brows instantly furrowed as soon as I noticed something was amiss. He was sitting down, back against the headboard, the blanket over his lap. I crawled to him and rested my head on his lap.

"You're up early," I voiced out in a coarse voice, clearing it before I continued, "or... did you not sleep at all?" 

Silence was the answer I received while he kept his eyes on me. For reasons unknown, his silence was starting to make my heart feel restless. This time, I knew there was something wrong.
