With Arianne escaping to the space, Ryett, whose head was frenzied with thoughts, returned to normal. The golden tint in his eyes vanished without a trace.

"What happened? Did we get caught?" asked Ryett, snapping awake from the muddled stupor and raising his deep blue eyes from the climbing rope tying his body into a dumpling. A faint, sweet scent of blood entered his nostrils, causing him to hum, finding his stomach fluttering with butterflies. "It smells so good." Why is it familiar nonetheless?

Dante also breathed in; though the scent was bearable now, it still disturbed his thoughts. "What happened to you, kid?" He demanded, grouchy from the blonde's earlier words. He got a feeling that if he and Magnus were not around, this kid might really go ballistic and drag his wife somewhere, disregarding the situation and place.
