Surprisingly, I didn't anticipate leveling up this quickly. But it's not a big deal, though, considering I've just taken down three Field Bosses in a row, not to mention all the mobs I've slain along the way. With the added boost from Memento Mori's effect, my experience points have skyrocketed. But let's not dwell on that for too long. Not far from where I touched down, a group of players, clearly on the hunt for the announced boss, are combing the area for any trace of their elusive target. Before I can make my next move, a sharp-eyed Gunslinger spots me from a distance.

"Hey, check it out. There's someone over there... Wait, is that a wolf? That guy looks human, though! Could it be an NPC around here?" the Gunslinger exclaimed.

One of the Paladins in the group, who seems to have studied me more closely, notices the green diamond floating above my character.

"No, that guy has a green indicator. That means he's a player," the Paladin concluded.

"Darn it... I shouldn't have hung around here for so long," I muttered to myself as I quickly darted away from the fresh arrivals who had just caught sight of me.

Without waiting for them to close in, I swiftly retreated from the area. It was imperative to evade these individuals; they could spell trouble if they discovered my involvement in the boss's demise, the very target they were in pursuit of. My breath quickened as I sprinted in a specific direction, a sinking feeling gripping me.

THUMP!

Groaning, I reacted instinctively, executing a nimble backflip before sprinting off in another direction.

"Wait! Stop!" came an urgent cry.

There was no time for niceties. I had no interest in who I had collided with, though it was clear it wasn't a man due to the softness of the impact. It couldn't be a monster either; the silhouette and the shout confirmed it was a woman. However, I couldn't entertain perverted thoughts; after all, I was a man from a bygone era inhabiting my youthful self once more.

I surged ahead, but then I felt a sudden jerk as a hooked chain entangled me. Before I could react, I was being reeled in by the player wielding the chain. Swiftly, I drew my weapon, transforming it into a gun, and opened fire.

"What?!" exclaimed the other onlookers in astonishment. Hadn't they seen a sword a moment ago? Why did they suddenly turn into a gun?

I gracefully sidestepped and aimed my gun at the player who'd just yanked me with a Hook and Chain. Within moments, a motley crew of other gamers converged on the scene. As much as I wanted to make a run for it, I knew I couldn't outpace this diverse bunch. They had assassins and nimble ninjas, experts at tracking down prey, not to mention Hunters and Druids. There was no way I'd be slipping away from this group.

"Why the heck are you all after me?" I glared at them, even though my wolf mask concealed any trace of my hostility.

"Why are you acting like you've got something to hide as if you don't want to be around people?" The words came from a Samurai who furrowed his brow.

"Is there something you've done that we shouldn't know about?" A cleric inquired.

I maintained my silence, watching them closely, determined not to divulge any information to these inquisitive players.

The others were still curious when a girl donning Magic Knight armor and wielding a sword approached me. I couldn't help but click my tongue. The person who'd come my way was none other than Harmless Sparrow. In essence, everyone here had gathered to become guild members of Blue Sky under her leadership.

Harmless Sparrow was renowned as one of the most skilled Magic Knights in the game, specializing in the Scarlet Knight profession. I'd encountered her a few times before, and she often challenged me to sparring duels between Magic Knights. We were always evenly matched, and it was impossible to predict the outcome. However, things had changed now that I had switched classes.

Harmless Sparrow regarded me with curiosity. "You look familiar, but with that mask on, I can't quite place you. Have we crossed paths before?"

Despite her attractive appearance, I felt no interest in her whatsoever. Her persistent demeanor, at times, grated on my nerves with her repetitive gestures.

"It's our first encounter," I replied, "and I must apologize, but I have urgent matters to attend to. So please, if you are with these motley crew, tell them to f*ck off, I am not in the mood to talk to them and I have no time for them as well."

Certainly, let's work on improving this passage to make it more enjoyable for readers and easier to understand:

Harmless Sparrow offered a small smile, but soon, her eyebrows knitted in surprise.

"What's going on?" She seemed a bit taken aback. It didn't take me long to figure out what had caught her attention.

"Hey, are you peeking at my status panel?" I playfully teased her. "I can tell you activated something pretty quickly. But, judging by that frown on your face, it seems you're trying to snoop around my stats, huh? That's kind of invading my privacy."

I had a good reason to be cautious. Unauthorized access to someone's stat window was considered a violation, and it shouldn't be done without their consent. Fortunately, I had a title that protected me from those who tried to pull such underhanded tricks.

Harmless Sparrow looked a bit guilty and stammered, "I..."

"You arrogant upstart!" a Holy Knight suddenly appeared, unsheathing his greatsword. "How dare you speak to our future guild leader like that?"

I defended myself, "I can say what I want. She's the one who made something sneaky and I don't like that kind of thing. She attempted to peek at my stats without asking."

"Quiet down," a druid chimed in with a grin, "You should be honored that our stunning guild leader is willing to check your Status Window without you having to beg her. It's not something just anyone can get."

My frustration grew, and I wondered if these individuals were overly devoted to her. Perhaps she is unknowingly gathering a group of Simps?

"Hmph! I'm certainly not some amateur who enjoys letting strangers snoop around in my personal accounts. If that's what you're into, let your guild leader pull that stunt on you without your knowledge, and see how you'd like it," I retorted.

The response came from the holy knight among them, "Well, I'd be thrilled if our guild leader took the initiative to check our status without us needing to share it."

I facepalmed as I realized who I was dealing with. Shining Star, is one of the top 10 Holy Knight players in the game, renowned for his unabashed remarks and actions. I'd only heard stories about him in the past, but now I was witnessing it firsthand.

"Ugh, you people are something else. I've got things to do, so I'm out of here."

Shining Star halted my departure with a sudden question, "Before you go, have you seen any significant monsters around here?"

I replied, "Sorry, I'm just passing through. If you're hunting for that monster, go look for it."

Harmless Sparrow chimed in, "You're not here for the boss that was announced?"

"No, I'm here for a quest. Your hunt doesn't interest me. Good luck with it, and have a great day."

With that, I hastily retreated from the scene before they could notice the traces of the battle I had been involved in earlier.
