"You could have told me that you hadn't eaten dinner. I would have prepared something for—" Butler Qing's voice trailed off as he noticed the little girls holding their bags of chicken, looking around with wide-eyed wonder.

"And who might this be?" Butler Qing asked, his curiosity piqued.

Xiang Yu stepped forward. "That's Lian, and that is Mei. They are my little girls."

Butler Qing's eyes widened in surprise. He glanced at Han Xin, who was taking off his suit jacket with his back turned. Han Zhan, sensing the butler's confusion, added, "They are adopted."

"Oh," Butler Qing said, crouching down to their level. "Hello, Lian and Mei. I am Butler Qing. You can call me Uncle Qing."
