Chapter 218: Who was it again?

Shane looked at the others, who looked like they were ready to fight anyone at any moment, but they weren't alone. They had Delilah with them, too, a royal guest, and her security was his responsibility. 

The guards could see what or who was stopping their commander from taking action, and they looked at Delilah with a displeased expression. That was exactly why they didn't like the involvement of women in such tasks. They really needed protection, and at crucial times like these, even a little distraction could prove lethal if not handled correctly. 

Delilah saw everyone looking at her with an ugly expression and knew they weren't thinking about anything good about her. A sigh left her mouth. 

"Are we ready to fight?" She asked, her words surprising Shane. 

"Fight?" He asked, and she nodded before taking out her four daggers, surprising him once again.
