Chapter 44: The woman from past

"Alpha! Are you okay?" Alex rushed to the concentrated acid zone when he heard Delilah screaming.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Alex immediately roared, pushing the girl away from the alpha, who barely placed the beaker on the counter slab before falling to the ground.

However, rather than staying there despite her leg that twisted in the wrong way and ached terribly, Katherine rushed towards the sink to pour cold water over the burn, clenching her teeth.

She looked at the red burning on her hands, as she dug her nails in her palm to ease the pain. Katherine grabbed her hand with her other hand as she tried her best to control the sensations she was still feeling in her body.

Even before this accident, she clearly felt something bad was about to happen. What was that all about?
