Chapter 225: Reporting

Delilah went straight to her room as soon as she returned from the mission.

Prince Zephyr wasn't in the palace when they returned. However, Jacob told her to have something to eat because he wanted her to wait for his boss in the hall.

Seeing her sitting in the hall would've indeed made their boss happy, but for the first time, Delilah denied it. 

She said no to food, which was more than enough for Jacob to know that something had happened at the mission.

He didn't waste a second contacting Commander Shane and asked him to stay ready with the report. 

In the meantime, he called the two guards who were gone with the team, claiming to be the royal guards. 

The two men showed up, and Jacob was about to ask them what exactly happened on the mission so he could find a plausible solution if things went downhill.
