Chapter 140: Kill Maximus

'Don't walk towards us,' Katherine whispered in her mind as she saw Maximus walking towards her.

'Uhh, why is he walking towards us?' Katherine looked around.

She held her breath as Maximus almost neared her, and she was about to tell him to not interact with her so often in front of everyone when to her surprise, the man walked past her.

She stood frozen in her place and turned around to see where he was going.

Seeing him talking to Roy and Jacob, she understood he never meant to walk towards her. Rather, she was standing in the way.

It was a good thing she didn't say anything to make a fool out of herself, or it would've definitely embarrassed her.

She turned around and walked to where everyone was gathering to grab their breakfast.

It was their last meal before they left the hills after a quick visit to the nearby waterfalls that Alpha Zeeshan and his beta discovered last night while patrolling.
