Chapter 68: Ask for help

"What should we do?" She asked.

Maximus shrugged nonchalantly.

"What do you mean what should we do? Is there something to hide? I will just tell him I wanted to talk to you and that's why I climbed -" Maximus stopped talking when Katherine raised her hand and placed it over his masked mouth.

"No!" She exclaimed, making Maximus look at her surprised.

He could understand that she probably didn't want any rumor to spread about her, but wasn't her reaction a bit too exaggerated?

"Come with me," Katherine held his hand before she pulled him onto the balcony and pushed him in the corner, almost toppling over him in the process.

Seeing her being so nervous, Maximus smiled and snaked his hand around her.

"Are you afraid of the rumors or Prince Elwin finding out about my presence in your room and thinking otherwise?" He asked, his gaze darkening.
