Chapter 150: Return to the Ashborne

As Lyra stirred from her slumber, she found herself arriving at the resistance club's headquarters, nestled within the familiar walls of Ashborne Academy. The sight of the academy filled her with a sense of homecoming, a welcome respite after her harrowing ordeal at the Nightfall Mansion. The resistance club, hidden yet obvious to those who knew where to look, was a refreshing change of pace for Lyra, who hadn't set foot outside the mansion in what felt like an eternity.

As she stepped into the resistance base, Lyra was greeted by a chorus of cheers and applause. She instantly recognized faces from the Nightfall raid, their expressions filled with a mixture of relief and admiration. Cherry, one of the resistance members, exclaimed, "Lyra Argyle, the one who led us through the raid and defeated the Shadowfall Mafia!"

Amid the congratulations and praise, Lyra's gaze drifted towards Elias, who had remained silent since the raid. He avoided her gaze, his expression unreadable, and Lyra felt a pang of uncertainty in her chest.

As the celebrations continued, Kai and Silas approached Lyra, their expressions bittersweet. "It's time for us to head back to Solaris," they informed her, their voices tinged with regret.

Lyra thanked them, her heart heavy with gratitude for their unwavering support. Silas placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, his eyes filled with empathy. "Lyra, I am so sorry to hear what happened to your family. I know we never met, but we are family, and I want you to know that I will always be there for you."

He handed her a card, a small smile playing on his lips. "If you're ever in Arcadia, come by Solaris and visit me."

They embraced, and as Kai and Silas prepared to leave, Lyra called out, "Thank you, Silas. I'll never forget your help."

Silas paused, turning back to face her. "I found out about your family through Elias. He's a great friend who sacrificed everything to help you."

With those parting words, Silas and Kai departed, leaving Lyra with a renewed sense of determination to speak with Elias. However, before she could approach him, Clara reached out to her, a warm smile on her face. "Let's catch up, Lyra. There's so much to talk about."

As they walked away, Lyra glanced back at Silas and Kai, who waved farewell as they disappeared into the distance. She knew that the road ahead would be challenging, filled with uncertainties and unanswered questions. But with the support of her friends and the strength of the resistance behind her, Lyra felt ready to face whatever lay ahead.

She turned her attention back to Clara, eager to reconnect and share her experiences. Yet, in the back of her mind, Lyra couldn't shake the feeling that her journey was far from over. The mysteries surrounding her family, her alchemy, and the true nature of the Shadowfall Mafia loomed large, waiting to be unraveled.

For now, however, Lyra allowed herself a moment of respite, basking in the warmth and camaraderie of her fellow resistance members. She k
