Chapter 132: Preparing for Supper

Lyra stood in her room, staring at the outfit laid out on her bed. The uniform was a tailored dark red coat with a high collar and intricate embroidery, paired with sleek black trousers made from high-quality fabric. A white lily brooch on the laid on the side added a unique touch. Accessories included black leather gloves, a stylish black belt, and black boots, all contributing to a sharp, stylish look that balanced elegance and authority. The overall ensemble exuded old-world sophistication.

She sighed, wondering how she had ended up in this situation—working with the people who had murdered her parents. If it wasn't for Dante, she would have fled long ago. But there was something about him, his vision for the future, and his protective nature that made her feel it was right to help him.

As she pondered her next steps, the door opened, and Dante entered the room. "Good evening, Lyra," he greeted her with a warm smile. "You look stunning."

Lyra glanced at the outfit again, feeling a mix of emotions. "I suppose this is for the dinner tonight?"

Dante nodded. "Yes. My family is having a dinner to discuss the Parity Potion and its implications for the Nightfall Mafia. I need you to be there."

Lyra's expression hardened. "I don't want to meet my parents' murderers, Dante."

Dante's smile faded, replaced by a serious expression. "I understand, Lyra. But this is the only way. If we want people to willingly use the Parity Potion, we need their support. I know you want revenge, and I won't take that away from you. But right now, we need to go through them."

Lyra clenched her fists, struggling with her emotions. "And you think they'll listen?"

"They will listen if I do the talking," Dante replied firmly. "You just need to be there, show them who you are and what we're trying to achieve. I'll handle the rest."

Lyra took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions inside her. She knew Dante was right. If they wanted to create a more just society, they needed the support of the Nightfall Mafia, as much as it pained her to admit it.

"Alright," she said finally, her voice steady. "I'll be there. But if they try anything—"

Dante interrupted her with a reassuring nod. "I promise, Lyra. I won't let anything happen to you."

With a heavy heart, Lyra dressed in the elegant uniform, fastening the white lily brooch to her coat. She looked at herself in the mirror, feeling a strange mix of fear and determination. Tonight could change everything.
