Chapter 70: Dangerous Days

The following day, Elias rushed to check on Lyra and her friends, his face etched with concern and anger. As he entered their room, he immediately began to express his frustration over the situation.

"Scarlet's popularity and power come from her being a member of the Royal Bloodborne family," he explained, his voice tight with worry. "She's incredibly powerful, and it's all because of her lineage."

Then, turning to Lilith, Elias's tone became accusatory. "This is your fault for hanging out with a vampire. You put Lyra in danger by associating with them."

Clara, her eyes flashing with indignation, snapped back at Elias. "Don't you dare put any blame on Lilith! You did the same thing not too long ago, and you endangered Lyra in the process. You have no right to point fingers."

Elias, taken aback by Clara's outburst, tried to explain his perspective. "They see Lyra as a threat, don't you understand? She's not safe as long as she's connected to the Sanguine world."

Lyra, still weakened from the ordeal, spoke up, her voice filled with a mix of awe and fear. "Scarlet's power was on a whole other level compared to Adrian. But then there was that man... he stopped Scarlet dead in her tracks. I've never seen anything like it."

Elias, his expression growing more serious, turned to Lyra and Clara. "You two should come to one of our resistance club meetings. It would be good for you to get some allies, especially if you're being targeted by someone as powerful as Scarlet Bloodborne."

Clara, her protective instincts kicking in, shook her head. "Lyra needs to rest, Elias. She's been through a lot, and I think your visitor time is up. We appreciate your concern, but right now, what Lyra needs most is time to recover."

Elias, recognizing the finality in Clara's tone, nodded reluctantly and took his leave, promising to check in on them again soon.

Later that day, Lyra found herself alone in her lab, her mind consumed with thoughts of the mysterious man who had come to their rescue. Remembering his name, "Dante" she murmured. She couldn't shake the image of him standing tall and powerful, his presence alone enough to bring Scarlet to her knees.

As she tinkered with her equipment, Lyra's thoughts raced, trying to make sense of the growing dangers that seemed to lurk around every corner at Ashborne Academy. With each passing day, it became clearer that she needed to be better prepared, to hone her skills and strengthen her resolve if she hoped to survive in this treacherous world.

Determined to focus on her research and improve her abilities, Lyra threw herself into her work, pouring over ancient texts and experimenting with new techniques. She knew that the battles to come would test her in ways she had never been tested before, but she was determined to rise to the challenge.

As the hours ticked by and the sun began to set over the academy grounds, Lyra remained in her lab, her mind whirring with ideas and possibilities. She may not have had the raw power of Scarlet or the mysterious man, named Dante, who had saved them, but she had something just as valuable: a keen intellect, an unbreakable spirit, and a burning desire to protect those she held dear.
