Chapter 299: I Don't Care. I Just Want To Go!

After his motive was exposed by Michael, Christian acted as if he was not surprised.

He smiled simply, his expression as light as the wind.

Seeing Christian's look, Michael looked at him viciously. "You owe my mother an apology too," he enunciated each word as he spoke.

"I"m sorry." Christian bowed deeply before Winnie, his attitude humble and sincere.

At least on the surface it seemed that way.

No one had expected that Christian would apologize so quickly. He did not say anything else after his apology. Not only was Michael surprised, but even Lily was surprised.

Lily held Christian's hand and asked softly, "Why are you apologizing?"

"My brother has asked me to apologize. Of course I have to apologize." Christian had an as-a-matter-of-fact expression. "Elder brother is like a father."

Christian's simple statement had changed the nature of the apology.
