With how weak the guards are, it didn't take Jason and Austin much time to eliminate them with Jason ending it all with a lightning attack to prevent the remains of the possessed from possessing someone else. After killing the guards, they made some cuts on their bodies to make it seem like they were attacked by a beast before deactivating the formation as they headed back to the meeting point.

When they got to the expected place, they found Captain Adam and his team were already waiting for them and seeing that they came alone with no guards by their side and with how dishavel they looked, Captain Adam took a step forward as he asked with a serious look on his face.

"What happened to you guys and where are my men?" he said.

"They are all dead, we were ambushed by a group of beasts the moment we went deep into the forest. We could hardly protect ourselves from their attack, lest we talk about the guards" replies Jason as tries to catch his breath.
