Chapter 187: I’m Tired

Jessica paced the length of her room, her heart racing as the seconds stretched while she waited for the text from Damon.

Finally, the message came through. She opened the message quickly, copied the number into her dialer, and pressed call.

The phone rang once, twice, before a refined voice answered on the other end. "Hello."

Jessica swallowed hard, steadying her nerves. "Hello, am I on to Madam Quinn?"

"It depends on who is asking," she said, and Jessica took a steadying breath.

"My name is Jessica. Jessica Sterling. I'm Delilah's sister," she said, and her introduction was followed by a brief pause, and then Madam Quinn's voice softened with interest.

"Jessica Sterling? I've been hoping to meet you, my dear. It's a pleasure to hear from you," Madam Quinn said pleasantly, happy to hear from her second grand goddaughter.
