Chapter 68: What you Feel
"Have you packed enough things to use through the weekend?" Alex's mother asked.
"Mmm, I did but it's okay mom I don't need much it's just a weekend sleepover," she said. "and it's not my first time at his place.
"Oh, so how many times has it been? ".
"Twice I think, this will be my third "she sighed.
"You don't sound excited, "her mother said.
Alex smiled shyly," I am it's just that am thinking about a lot of things that have happened since I met Nathan "
"It is getting hard for you "
She shook her head," No, but everything is new to me. This type of world excited me but I never seemed to notice it has been opened to me by him. And it was scary at first but after I stopped putting my fears first and let myself feel. I didn't regret it" a smile appeared on her face.
"I don't know if I can take the rest of the steps into this future I have chosen but am sure you and Nathan will always have my back ".
Her mother smiled," You love him "
"Huh?".Alex said.
"Honey it's not wrong to fall for someone, in fact, am happy you found him cause he seems to love you more than I expected. Everything he does around you is pure devotion to you. So if you feel anything for him, tell him before he starts growing doubts about his feeling towards you "her mother said.
"I love him!? "Alex repeated and her mother nodded.
"Yes you do cupcake"
"But how sure are you mother? "
"Cause when I speak his name or say anything about him, your face lights up and your smile are so warm it melts my heart. Tell me what you feel in here when you think about him? "her mother asked touching her chest.
Alex blinked as her mind filled with Nathan's face and expressions every time he looked at her. Her face blushed rose pink when his voice played in her head, his touch and... and.. his kisses, she bit her lips unconsciously as her heart quicken.
Her mother laughed touching her cheeks softly," I see you have your answer "
Alex smiled," I do mother "
"Then I hope during the time you spend with him this weekend you find the time to tell him ".
She nodded.

Nathan still busy with an online meeting sent Roy and Becca to pick Alex up. She arrived to see him busy on his laptop, he looked so serious and cold with no trace of Nathan who smiled and played with her.
She helped Becca and Roy get her bag them the groceries they had bought on the way.
"Okay we will be leaving now, you can rest or make something or stay on your phone. I don't think Boss will be done anytime soon, he's been pushing that meeting for a while now so I think it will take longer now "Becca said.
Alex nodded," It's alright I can wait "
She walked them out and returned inside. Not to bother Nathan she made coffee and played on her phone waiting on the terrace.
Something moved next to her and Alex looked down to see Nathan's dog looking up at her.
She froze locking eyes with it, tongue out with huge black eyes staring back at her. She breathed moving back in her seat.
"Hi, "she said with her memory still fresh from the first time they met. Alex felt her body tense up.
It barked back at her, Alex flinched but it stayed down not moving.
"We meet again "she smiled. It barked again and she giggled," Do you understand me? "it barked again. It wasn't moving like its waiting for her to take the first step.
Alex laughed moving slowly closer, it also moved to her feet. Bending down she petted its head.
