Chapter 103: Each others burden.
"If the decision is too heavy then let me choose for you," Nathan said.
He had draped his coat over her shoulders and sat down with her. "You made Mom and Dad worry," he said
"Am sorry I just wanted to get out for some fresh air?" she said.
He held her kissing her forehead, "What's bothering you?"
She was silent so he continued, "I know it's going to be hard to make a decision but as I said if it's too hard then you can let me do it so that Cynthia won't hate you " he said.
"I don't want to burden you again and again with my problems ....." Nathan pulled her into his chest, and Alex glanced up at him.
"Alex, Alex, I gave myself to you willing to be used by in any way you want so I don't care how many times you burden me I will never leave you," he said.
"But it's a personal matter" she frowned.
He sighed, "So am not intimate to you to be involved" He let her go, "Well t that hurt more than I expected " turning his back to her.
Alex blinked, "That's not what I meant" but Nathan didn't turn back.
"I guess all I have been doing to get close to you was for nothing," he said.
She pulled him back to her hugging him, "Your the only good thing I have now... and mom too but mostly you. And I don't want you to see me as a burden instead of the woman you love ".
He smiled pecking her lips," I love you so much I can never see you that way" he chuckled," honestly sometimes I think its me who is the burden and worry yo might leave me for that "
She giggled," I guess we are each others burdens then ".
He nodded," And Alex please don't forget that no matter what I will always believe and love you "
She sighed hugging him, he held her smiling. Hearing her muffled voice," I love you too " she answered.
"Should we head home now? It's cold am worried you might catch a cold plus Mom and Dad are waiting "he said.
She nodded but didn't move.
"Alex the helicopter is ready to go" he whispered.
"Mmm" she said but still didn't move.
Nathan bent closer to her ear," Or should we stay inside the cottage"
She looked up, "Maybe we can"
"But mom looked worried when I left" Nathan said.
Alex sprung up," Let's go home then "she walked off.
Nathan chuckled following her.
