Chapter 17: Davy Back Fight
Zeus woke up from his nap when the crew arrived on Long Ring Long Island. He was sulking the entire time, he didn't like the davy back fight. It was a waste of time. Unfortunately for Zeus, Luffy came back and told the rest of the crew that they were having a Davy Back fight with the Foxy pirates. Zeus looked resentful and dragged his feet towards the arena.
The crews lined up and a Foxy pirate was about to announce the games, when Zeus flashed next to him and threw him across the Island, legend says that he is still flying to this day!
Zeus grabbed the mic and coughed. The sky darkened and a hole opened up in the clouds, making a spotlight on Zeus, who smiled and said "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the Davy Back fight! On the right side we have the Cat-Dog pirates!" Foxy shouted "It's Foxy pirates!" Zeus ignored him and continued "And on the left, we have the fan favorite! The legendary.. STRAW HAT PIRATES!" The imaginary crowd roared with cheers and applauds, startling everyone.
Zeus grinned and continued "Before we start with the first game, it's time to introduce my special guest announcer! Let's give an extremely warm welcome, because we all know he needs it, to THE 'Lazy Justice' man himself, Admiral Aokiji!" he poked a hole in the cloud and the spotlight shined next to him, revealing Aokiji.
Aokiji waved to the crowd and said "Hello everyone, nice to be here!"
Zeus laughed and said "Of course! Now let's announce the first game! It's the classic barrel race! So original! Too unexpected! I frankly just can't believe it!" he made a popstar pose and said "The rules are simple! Make a raft out of 3 barrels and race it to the end! Remember folks! No weapons and No performance enhancing drugs!" he sighed sadly and said solemnly "We all remember the tragic boat race of '57"
Everyone held their hands over their hearts and hand a moment of silence.
Zeus resumed the announcing and said "I'm your handsome, sexy, frankly just too damn good looking to be alive MC and I'll be introducing our teams for the race!" the spot lights fell on the Foxy team and Zeus said in a monotone voice "From the rat-monkey pirates.." "ITS FOXY!" "Pointy nose girl, pointy nose fish guy, and a literal shark."
Spotlights fell on the Straw Hat crew and Zeus said excitedly "And on the Straw Hat side we have.. The long nosed Sniper king Usopp! The devilishly beautiful Archaeologist Robin! And finally the too cute, little angel Navigator, Nami!" the crowd went wild and the three waved to the crowd.
Zeus clapped and cheered himself before speaking again "Aokiji, have anything to say before we start?" as he handed the mic to him, Aokiji grabbed the mic and said "I want a clean race, other than that, these teams look rarin' to go!"
Zeus grabbed the mic and laughed "That they are Aokiji! Let's get this show started!" he made a thunderball and threw it into the air, it exploded into fireworks and cleared the sky. The two teams got to work and Zeus and Aokiji made chairs with their powers.
They watched and Zeus said "I think that's a record time for the Straw Hat team! Anything to add Aokiji?" Aokiji nodded and said "I think so too, which is even more surprising if you consider that the boat has to have a good shape as well as a sturdy foundation! By the looks of it that boat is the perfect shape!"
Zeus nodded understandingly and added "What do these two teams need to watch out for in this particular event?" Aokiji tilted his head and said "Well, the most important thing are the obstacles. They can be a real tragedy for the teams! Especially the mist near the end, a lot of teams fail to navigate through it and end up far behind their competitors!"
Zeus nodded and said "Let's not forget the whirlpools! Truly a treacherous situation!" Aokiji nodded and sighed "That's true. Without proper precautions, a tragedy like the one in '57 could occur once again." everybody put their hands over their hearts and shook their heads.
Zeus sighed and said "Hopefully our teams know how to make it work!" Aokiji nodded and they watched the race. Zeus mentioned "Looks like the Straw Hat team has a sizeable lead over the snake-otter pirates!" "ITS FOXY!!!!" Aokiji nodded and Zeus said incredulously "The Straw Hat team has pulled through the whirlpools! What an amazing navigation! If I was her man I would be the most blessed man in the world!"
Aokiji remarked "That's a crucial point there Kurama, is that you have to ride along the edges. It sounds easy but it is extremely difficult to achieve!" Zeus nodded along and said "Oh our guest has experience?!"
Aokiji waved and laughed "It was my younger years!" Zeus laughed along and said "Looks like the Straw Hat team is pulling a huge lead over the dolphin-mouse team!" "FOXY!" "The Straw Hat team is coming up on the mist! If they don't navigate it well enough, the duck-worm team-" ITS... never mind.." "-May just be able to catch up!"
Zeus said excitedly "Looks like the Straw Hat team has pulled through the mist! The geeko-muskrat team isn't far behind however! With a lead like this, the Straw Hat team must have this one in the bag!" suddenly the Straw Hat boat slowed down and the Foxy team passed them to win the race.
Zeus stood up and said in disbelief "Ladies and gentlemen! Never have I seen such a shocking turn of events! The tiger-spider team turned the game around! For some reason the Straw Hat team, slowed down! Let's get a replay on that!"
The scene changed and showed the Straw Hat boat going in slow motion before almost coming to a stop as the Foxy team passed them.
Zeus said "There has been a suspicion of foul play! Enjoy a private interview of my guest star while we figure out what happened here! We'll be right back!"
The scene changed again and it was just Aokiji from the shoulders up. There was a mic near his mouth and some one said "We heard you used to be a Davy Back player yourself! Do you have any experiences that can relate?"
Aokiji nodded and said "You know, back in my day we had simpler games. Haha but I'm proud to say that we fought through any match up! We we're known as the Davy Back Maestros!"
The voice laughed before asking again "What are your thoughts on the shocking turn around?"
Aokiji cleared his throat and said "Well, anything can happen in this sport you know. You just gotta put your nose to the grindstone and keep moving forward. If a little setback takes you off your game then it'll be hard for you to win games."
The voice nodded and said "There have been reports of you having intimate relationships with some of the female marines at HQ, is there any truth to these rumors?"
Aokiji coughed and said "I'm not allowed to answer that."
The scene changed back to Zeus as he was standing in front of Foxy and said "There have been reports that you used foul play during the end of the race. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Foxy coughed and said "These are naturally false, you know, anything can happen in this sport. If you can't handle setbacks then you should stop playing." Zeus nodded and said "Can you explain why your hair cut is so stupid?" Foxy collapsed and cried, Zeus flashed in front of the Straw Hat team and said with a smile "How do you feel about the outcome of this game?"
Usopp sighed and said "You know, just gotta get back on the horse. I thought we had them, maybe there was some cheating going on but if it can't be proven, then we'll just move on and be more careful in the future."
Zeus nodded and went to the two women "How does it feel being debatably two of the most beautiful women on the sea?" Robin leaned in and said "No comment." Nami said "That's for the fans to judge, I have no opinions." she winked and did a 'V' sign with her fingers. Zeus nodded and flashed back to the stage.
Zeus cleared his throat and said "This is where it gets interesting folks! The armadillo-porcupine pirates have a chance to pick a member of the opposing crew!" Foxy said "The oran-" lightning flashed at his feet and Foxy gulped and said quickly "The raccoon!"
Zeus spoke "In a shocking turn of events! The fish-cicada pirates choose Chopper! What are your thoughts Aokiji?" Aokiji shook his head and said "From a strategical standpoint, it makes absolutely zero sense but I have to admit he is very cute!"
Zeus nodded and said "Well said! He is the third cutest on the entire crew! Now that Chopper has been taken hosta- transferred, we'll continue to the next event! Your amazingly handsome, cute but also manly MC will be participating in the event this time, so I'll hand it over to my guest MC!" He stuffed the mic into Aokiji's hands and flashed over to the crew.
They all looked at him and he looked over and said "Is there something on my face?" the crew sighed and Zeus mumbled "Weird.." Nami also punched him but he ducked and said "So me, Sanji and Zoro?" Sanji and Zoro grinned and the three walked onto the field.
Aokiji spoke at this moment "In this event, three members from each crew will fight and try and put the 'ball' in the opposing net. The catch is one of the members IS the 'ball'. As usual. no weapons and no cheating! Begin."
Zeus scoffed and said "This guy is too boring." Sanji and Zoro looked at him and said in unison "No, it's just you." Zeus waved and sneered "You're both just jealous because I'm more than 100 times more handsome than you." Sanji flared up and Zeus grabbed the ball and put it on his head. Zoro frowned and said "Why are you the ball?"
Zeus gave him a 'are you stupid' look and said "I'm a logia remember?" the duo had looks oh realization before grinning evilly. The three chuckled like devils before looking at the giants on the other side, Zeus said "First one to beat his opponent wins! I got the ball!" as he flashed towards teh giant with a ball on his head. Zoro and Sanji grit their teeth and shouted "Bastard! You started early!" before shooting towards their opponents.
Zeus kicked out the giant's legs and spun around catching the giant's head in the crook of his knee before jumping in the air and spinning. He turned and slammed the giant's head, along with the ball, into the net in one fluid motion and turned around to see Sanji and Zoro already sitting on their opponents.
Sanji exhaled a mouthful of smoke and said "Finished? Took you long enough." Zoro looked at his swords and added "Way too slow." Zeus grinded his teeth in rage and snapped "You shitty love cook and you damn mosshead! I'll beat the shit out of you, do you believe it?!" Sanji and Zoro sneered at him and left the arena.
Zeus mocked "ToOk yOu LoNg eNoUgH" while taking off the ball and flashing onto the stage. The crowd was dead silent in shock and Zeus got the mic back from Aokiji before saying "What a performance folks! Blink once and you might just miss it! The winners of this round are the Straw Hats!" the crowd came back from their shock and cheered wildly chanting "Straw Hats! Straw Hats!"
Zeus smiled and held up his hand as he said "Now it's time for the Straw Hats to choose a crew member from the Pig-wolf pirates!" Luffy rubbed his chin and said "Uhhhhh...." minutes passed and Chopper started crying. After almost 10 minutes Luffy said "Chopper!" Chopper jumped with joy and threw his foxy mask off before running back to his crew.
Zeus pretended to wipe a tear from his eye as he said "Truly touching! A reunion of friends! What are your thoughts Aokiji!" Aokiji said seriously "If my tears didn't freeze as soon as they left my eyes I would shed a tear as well."
Zeus nodded and said "Our Ice-man has a heart folks! Alright let's get to the final round! A true blue, rough and tough, backyard brawl! The competitors of this event will strictly be the two captains! But first! A word from our sponsors!"
The scene changed to a restaurant.
Zeus had a fake mustache over his mask as he said "Are you tired of eating terrible food?" Usopp was in the background vomitting and Zeus continued "Do you get scurvy?" Chopper collapsed next to Usopp with his tongue out.
Zeus waved his hands wildly and said "Are you having restless nights because of your hunger?!" Luffy was laying down on a table muttering "Meat..."
Zeus sat down in a chair and Robin and Nami massaged his shoulders as he said "Then come on down to Thunder God's seaside grill! We got meat!" it showed a piece of meat "Fish!" its showed a tied up fishman "And all the drinks you could ever want!" it showed a bunch of barrels with Zoro glaring at the camera and grabbing a barrel before walking away.
Zeus laughed and waved his arm "With the best chef you've ever seen!" Sanji was grinding his teeth glaring at Zeus while he was sautee-ing something "And beautiful waitresses!" Robin and Nami smiled and waved in maid outfits. The scene went back to Zeus in a mustache as he said "Everything you could want and more at Thunder God's seaside grill! Come on down and eat with your family and friends! First 50 customers get a 20% discount!" he winked at the camera and said "You won't be disappointed!"
The scene went back to Zeus standing in front of a boxing ring with Aokiji standing next to him. He smiled and said "I gotta tell ya folks! That restaurant sure is good! And the waitresses will make your mouth water! Anyway before we get to the action we have two separate interviews with the participants! Let's go over now!"
Zeus flashed in front of Luffy and said "How are you feeling going into this match?" Luffy nodded and said "I'm hungry!" Zeus nodded and said "I see. What's your strategy?" Luffy said "I'm gonna kick his ass so I can eat." Zeus nodded again and said "Last question, what's going through your mind right now?"
Luffy got serious and said "The meat that's for dinner." Zeus nodded and said "Thanks for your time! Good luck!" before flashing in front of Foxy.
Zeus said "What kind of tricks do you have for this fight?" Foxy said "Well there's a trapdo- I mean, There are no traps!" Zeus nodded and said "Are you confident?" Foxy nodded and said "Of course! I have 100% confidence in this fight!" Zeus nodded and left directly, Foxy muttered "What's this favoritism..."
Zeus flashed to the middle of the boxing ring and the sky darkened before shining a spot light on Zeus. He was magically wearing a complete tuxedo as he said "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the final round of the Davy Back fight between the Straw Hats and the bear-walrus pirates!" the crowd cheered and the spotlight shone on Foxy as Zeus said "In the black corner, standing at 5'11, weighing in at 173 lbs! Cat-man Foxy!" Foxy's crew cheered but the crowed boo'd and Foxy provoked the crowd.
Zeus smiled and another spotlight shone on Luffy, who was wearing boxing shorts with gloves and an afro. Zeus said "And in the red corner! Standing at 5'7, weighing in at 154 lbs! Straaaaaaaaaaw Haaaat Luuuuuffffyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!" Luffy threw his arms up and the crowd went absolutely insane, one girl even said "I want your babies!"
Zeus held up his hand and a thunder ball slowly formed as Zeus said "Leeeeet's get readdyyy too RUUUMBLLEEEEEE!!!" he threw the thunder ball in the air and cleared the sky before jumping off the stage.
He landed next to Nami and Robin, already out of the tuxedo. Nami looked him up and down and said "Where did you get that outfit?" Zeus said "I rented it, why?" Nami licked her lips and said "I liked it~"
Zeus patted her head and smiled "I'll buy you one okay?" Nami pouted angrily and Robin giggled from the side.
Luffy had a hard time fighting Foxy with all the tricks and traps. Especially with Foxy's devil fruit powers, but in the end used a mirror to reflect Foxy's slow beam back and ended the fight with a single punch.
Zeus flashed onto the stage and held up Luffy's arm and said "We have a winner folks! Give it up for Straaaaaw Haaaaaat Luuuuuufffyyyy!!!!" Luffy raised both hands in the air and the crowd cheered.
Zeus chuckled and said "What will you choose Straw Hat? Will you tear apart the bonds they've made and steal one of their crew members?! Or will you take their flag and draw your own! The choice is up to you!" Luffy choose to draw his own flag and they hung it up. It was so bad. Drawing was, needless to say, not one of Luffy's strong points.
Zeus clapped and said "That's it for this time folks! Hope you enjoyed it and tune in next time to find out if Jennifer really did cheat on Todd! Farewell and Goodnight!" he threw a thunder ball into the ground, creating an electrical explosion and dazzling fireworks in various shapes. When the dust cleared, Zeus, as well as the entire Straw Hat crew disappeared!

Hope you liked it! Im tired! Might put Nami into the little sister category, idk how to do it though. I'm brainstorming dw. Its for the greater good! I promise next time it will be Nami and noone else! UPDATE: I did put her in it go back and read the last chapter again it has been fixed!
