Chapter 1: The real ball
"Today is first June and you know the meaning of this day, right?"my personal and favorite maid Norea asked while preparing my hair for the grand ball, I was deeply into the look of my black silky hair, red mesmerizing eyes and obviously beautiful libs which where reflected by the mirror facing me that the only words I could hear where FIRST JUNE "First June (I repeated thrice) why is every one soo happy of this day?" I replied "Because, is the day Isabelle Mendel or Rockzan Mendel may get married. Can you imagine!!" The person who entered into my chambers spoke while lavitating and panicking like a kid who wrote a very important exam and was about to receive the results "You are soo unbelievable, here you are spending time on your hair and cloths and you pretend you don't want to catch the Emperor's attention" she added
It was my Cousin Rockzan Mendel, The only rose in the kingdom of Mendel .
Rockzan was that type of a soft hearted person who was able to change her behaviors just to please someone she appreciates and could also turn into a devil for her enemies.
I looked at my reflection once more and ordered my maids to get the carriages ready but Rockzan stoped them informing them and me at the same occasion "It has already been done" and immediately after she pulled me downstairs and into the carriage next.
We didn't arrive yet but the path to the palace was filled with luxurious carriages,decoratives and extravagantly dressed nobles , I could see golden,silver and diamond ornaments through the carriage window using my vampire view and it even got worst when we were in.
Each visitors and invites were dressed in thier most extravagant cloths from the most prestigious tailors. When a new individual came into my life, i usually attended the ball for the Emperor's birthday each year, as for her demands. But this year, it almost looked like a dressing competition in the whole Empire of Gloxania but what kept my mouth open was the twin princesses of the kingdom of ANOREXIA , they had beautiful sky blue hair one which was at neck level and the other's hair at waist level and each of them with purple shimmery eyes but the destroyed thier looks putting on a mermaid glittering red gown and that made me laugh out loud looking at their direction, I was certain the could guess they were the cause of my laughter and the walked straight to my direction with angry looking faces "who do you think you are laughing at?" the eldest of the two Clara spoke folding her arms and tilting her head in a demanding manner but before I could say a word ,a very loud trumpet was blown announcing the arrival of the Emperor and Emperess which made all the crowd bow in respect to him "stand up my loyal servants and enjoy the party" that's what the poor Emperor could find as words to talk to the population who had not seen him for years leaving all his duties to his wife Silver Gloxania .
It didn't take long for the Emperor to start dancing with the choosen nobles (After each 100 years, it is obligatory for the Emperor to choose a wife, a list of high rang nobles is been provided to the king by the royal council chosen from the six kingdoms of GLOXANIA) I prayed for the Emperor's choice before my turn but unfortunately it was my turn to dance with the lazy called Emperor who can't rule his Empire and hid his face by putting on a mask .
We danced for what I can call an eternity and non of us altered a word "why are you soo silent?" I startled hearing his voice and he held me by the waist preventing me from falling , his voice was peace minded, deep,emotional and cheerful "I think is not obligatory for me to speak " I looked up to him and from his mask , l could see his eyes 'oh my God' i thought inwardly, they where saphir blue of a spark which was indescribable and lured me into them.
"I see you have good taste " he said that dragging me to his muscular chest covered by the white medieval attire he had the decency to put on "can't you see the population around us" I murmured into his ears and he did same while saying " I don't care " the hot breeze made by his words brushed my ear and suddenly my heart beat faster, I felt my cheeks and ear getting hotter and I could feel my belly twisting, this was totally unbelievable!!! I the female noble of Mendel with the sharpest sword couldn't move infront of this situation.
After some swaying, dragging and almost hugging, I was saved by Music which stopped indicating the end of the dance.
I diverted my gaze from his and could not ignore the eyes who looked at me with grid and anger the crowd was certainly jealous of me , then I realized the man was still pushing my body unto his, "I had enough now, let me go" I said that looking straight at him "What will you do if I don't?, after all I am the Emperor of this land if I decide to not retain you here, is my choice" saying that he crossed the distance between our two faces and pecked me between my brows, and he left.
