The confusion however didn't last long.
Arthur had already thought about it for a while now.
Knowing the kind of world he was in and what kind of creature Alice was.
It really wasn't hard to guess.
However, Arthur tried his hardest to not think about it, however not thinking about something right in front of you was much harder done than said.
Thankfully at this moment, Edward spoke up, saving Arthur the trouble of having to find a different topic to focus his mind on quickly.
"So Arthur, you have been living in Forks for a while?" Edward questioned from the driving seat.
Arthur didn't reply for a moment before giving a shallow nod of his head.
"Yeah, ever since I was a kid, I don't really remember much about the past city where I used to live at," Arthur replied before staring at Edward through the rear-view mirror.
"You guys only recently came to Forks right?" Arthur questioned.
It wasn't Edward who answered his question instead it was Alice who was already sitting closer to him than she had merely moments earlier.
"That's right, we used to live in Alaska but Carlisle, our father got a job offering at the hospital here in Forks and so we decided to move," Alice said as her amber eyes almost seemed to twinkle whilst she gazed at Arthur.
"I see, Alaska too cold for you two?" Arthur said as he turned to stare at Alice as he voiced out his words.
"Yup! Way too cold, but I'm sure that we were able to handle it better than you could," Alice replied as her smile turned into a teasing grin.
"I don't doubt that," Arthur replied before he heard Edward ask him another question.
The minutes passed by quickly with Arthur, Alice, and Edward conversing with each other.
The questions mainly ranged on how they found it here in Forks and what they were doing for fun.
"I just read, I'm not really into any kind of sports" Arthur had replied to one of Edward's questions.
"What about you two? You don't seem to be all that into sports either, at least I haven't heard of any Cullen besides Emmet doing sports." Arthur had asked as he released a light chuckle.
Alice had shaken her head with a smile before giving her answer.
"Well, we mostly like to go hiking and hunting."
"Hiking and Hunting? That goes even more against the image that you've shown me until now." Arthur had replied with a slight shake of his head.
Finally, after quite a while just as the conversation had started to become drier than the Sahara desert, the three of them had finally arrived in Port Angeles.
"We're here," Edward said as he slowed down the silver Volvo and parked it in a parking lot next to a medium-sized restaurant.
"This place is great!" Alice announced as her legs almost started shaking from the excitement.
Arthur who was turned to look at her had a single thought in his mind that he finally couldn't stop.
'Someone with that much hyper energy with me? How?' Arthur thought before quickly shaking his head in hopes that it would remove the thoughts as well as hoping that Edward hadn't caught his thoughts and if he did then hopefully he didn't think too much about them.
The car finally stopped as Edward twisted the ignition key, turning the car off before opening the door and heading out.
Alice and Arthur quickly followed behind him, heading out of the car and closing the doors behind them.
*Beep* *Beep*
Locking the car, the trio headed into the restaurant and were quickly shown to a table by a waiter who almost seemed to become entranced by Alice and even Edward at least before he saw the third member of the group.
He quickly regained his mind when he saw the average looking maybe even slightly malnourished Arthur.
Sitting down around the table, they were quickly handed a menu to look at the food and told to call the waiter when they had decided on what they were ordering.
"I'll just take a medium-sized pepperoni pizza," Arthur said before standing up from the chair.
Edward and Alice looked at him in confusion for a slight second before Arthur gave a slight smile and motioned toward the back with his thumb.
"I'm going to the bathroom real quick," Arthur said causing Edward and Alice to give an understanding nod.
Quickly turning around Arthur headed into the bathroom and went into one of the stalls, thankfully they looked clean enough.
'This is as far as I can get.' Arthur thought before his expression changed into a depreciating smile.
'How dumb of me, to get into a car with a telepath, a vampire telepath at that willingly and hope that I can keep my secrets. However, do I really have to keep the secret?' Arthur thought before releasing a slow sigh.
'There's really no real reason to do so. I can just tell them to not involve me in their supernatural bullshit and then I won't have to waste time hiding against them either.' Arthur thought before giving himself a nod.
'Then there's the highly likely chance that Alice is my so-called 'mate' though it's still doubtful considering I don't feel anything for her beyond bodily lust at this point in time. Maybe that's the main sign at first? My information has gotten quite cluttered with all of the fan fiction that I read back in my past life.' Arthur thought before shaking his head and finally deciding on a course of action.
'Alright, let's head back.'
Opening the door of the stall, he quickly headed out of the bathroom and back into the main venue of the restaurant.
Walking back to their table, he sat down and looked at Edward directly into the eyes.
'Hey, Vampire.'
