It had been booked at Halloween. The same time Adam had said they had broken up. Had he been planning on exploiting Philip for the holiday before completely disappearing? It was beginning to look that way.

Used for a holiday. That was cold.

“What are you going to do with it now?” Michael asked.

“I suppose I’m going to have to cancel now. Or rebook it for some time next year.” Philip shook his head. “I could go on my own, but that will just leave me feeling even more miserable.”

He saw Michael and Aiden pass a look between them. This had happened many times before, almost like they had their own language. Being business partners, it was hardly a surprise. Philip had hoped for something like that one day, but it wasn’t going to be with Adam.

You’re going to need to stop lamenting on what wasn’t there. It’s not going to come back

“Well, I might have a suggestion.” Aiden said. He gestured at the folder. “Why don’t the three of us go?”
