Right there, the rain poured down on this small little girl, all alone, no one was there, such a poor child.
"She died and he left. She's gone and he moved on. SHE'S GONE AND HE LEFT ME!" It turned silent, only the sound of the rain falling on the ground. The rain was so loud and powerful that no one noticed a child alone with no parent standing on the sidewalk.
'Eleven years old and here I am pondering if I should really step out and end it all'. This child was one step away from a busy street in the whole city, cars were zooming through the road, not worrying over who they splashed or who they passed. Her foot lifted, mid step, almost there, about to touch the ground, but before she could set it down, a car came her way. Seeing the headlights of the car, she looked up head on and thought, 'Maybe it was meant to be'.
Through the glass of the car, sitting there frozen from fear. A few seconds before this young man was trying to get back his loyal girlfriend's attention from staring at other men running for shelter in their wet clothes sticking to their bodies.
Six seconds, this car will hit her in six seconds; 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, … 1.
CRASH!
The next second everything was in chaos, but the one thing that stood out the most was the screech of a woman "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, THE CHILD, A CHILD HAS BEEN HIT, SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!" Everything was a blur and quiet to the child, she couldn't focus on one thing, but it didn't matter to this child, it seemed all so beautiful. With eyes closed, the child focused on her other senses she could get a hold of, the taste of blood in her mouth, the rain coming down on her, and the rough ground under her. Soon she was covered from the rain, protected from the constant downpour, under multiple strangers' umbrellas.
All at once she felt nothing, that was when she finally opened her eyes. At first, she was blinded from a light pointed straight into her eyes. There was a doctor in the room, he was doing a check up on her. Then a nurse came in and they were talking, but one thing seemed off, this child seemed to not be able to hear them.
This child had no emotion on her face, her eyes were dull, with no smile on her mouth, she looked too pale for an average normal child. She had bandages around her body, scratches were littered everywhere around her, but they weren't deep enough to put a scar on her skin.

'They are obviously asking me questions, but I don't hear anything, it seems that I have turned deaf.'
Seeing as the child was not answering the doctors, they have come to the conclusion that she may be deaf. Bringing out a notepad, they wrote a question; "Can you hear us?" the child shook their head, "Can you speak?" the child opened her mouth, and nothing came out. They kept on asking questions, until one question came up "Where are your parents?". The child froze and frowned, they did not get an answer, but her reaction and her physical state did tell them enough about them, they had no one.
The doctors stopped their questions at that, they knew she did not have any parents and was in an abusive household. With the child's consent, they started the surgeries and therapies, fixing the injuries, bones, hearing, and vocal cords, but they could not fix one thing…
Her trust over humanity.
