Chapter 79: Confrontation

[Lizbeth's POV]

I was betrayed!

Vein didn't go for Catherine. Instead, he changed his target to us to get to Charles!

My eyes snapped at Rhazien, and everything made sense now.

Charles knew all along!

Did he know that it was me who tipped Vein?

But I was very careful at that time. I made sure no one was following me, nor did I make any suspicious movements.

I was always left alone in the Castle, and everyone didn't care where I went nor what I was doing. I was confident that nobody would notice and know what I was up to. I didn't tell a single soul.

How could they have found out?

I looked over at Veronica. Her sharp eyes were darkest of blue, almost violet like her hair, and the thin lines of her lips said it all.

I was caught!

Did she trail me?

Other than Charles, someone who could sneak behind my back and hide their scent from me, it was definitely her!
