The music began to play, and everyone began circling and gliding on the dance floor, moving in rhythmic motion which they have done over a hundred times or more.
Serena could feel her stomach churning due to her anxiety, apprehension and shame, but thankfully, the dance steps have been ingrained to her being and she was able to move almost instinctively.
Charlton has been waiting for this moment all night so that he would have an avenue for all the churning emotions in his chest. However, a single touch and her pitiful visage as he loomed above her, then suddenly, all the words he wanted to speak got stuck in his throat.
