"Bing'er, I can see that you are in your last moments. Your life source is damaged, the embers of your life slowly burning away." Noah clasped his hands behind his back and assumed a serious expression on his face.
"Even if I give you a name, you will just die without anyone knowing, apart from me."
This was Noah's move.
To say something that will perk her interest even without trying.
He was baiting her.
"I know," Bing'er replied calmly without any sadness.
She already knew her current predicament very well and she had prepared herself to eternally rest without any regrets.
Seeing her this calm and unfazed by her own impending demise, Noah internally praised her temperament.
She seemed to have already experienced the vicissitudes of life and its waves.
"Do you want to live...again?" Noah didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point.
This question made Bing'er arch a brow toward Noah.
Her interest was already perked.
No one, in reality, wouldn't want to continue living.
It was something selfish that everybody constantly strived to fulfill more so in a cultivation world where the very death was an undeniable concept.
Even if you had a lifespan of trillion years, as long as one wasn't eternal and imperishable, you could not outlive the aspect of time.
Time and Death.
Those two concepts coincided with each other.
It was every cultivator's goal to pursue the peak of cultivation and achieve true immortality which was already a pipe dream for the natives of Primal Chaos Realm.
The laws of the universe were not perfect.
The Ancestral Goddess was the only one close to what may be defined as an 'eternal existence'.
This was because she was the very consciousness of the Primal Chaos Dimension, the primal chaos was her and she was the primal chaos.
As long as the Primal Chaos existed, she would not die.
But this did not apply to all the other living beings, with the Creation God Realm being the highest they could ever reach.
If for example, during the birth of the Primal Chaos, the Ancestral Goddess was born as a separate existence and the first being of the Universe, things would have been different.
The path to achieving higher realms would have been possible as the nomological truths of the world wouldn't have to be dictated by the Ancestral Goddess but by the universe itself.
Impartiality to all, this is how it should have been.
And currently, Noah had the perfect plan for a grateful universe.
"Of course, I want to live. Why did you ask me?" The Ice Phoenix, Bing'er curiously looked at Noah.
"Because I can make it come true." Noah took a step forward and then... took another, such that only a meter separated them.
"A-Are you serious? You know matters concerning lifespan aren't a joke!" A skeptical look formed on her face as she voiced her opinion.
The life origin of a True God Realm expert was next to impossible to heal, let alone a Creation God.
Even if a True God had the Profound Seal of Life and Death, they wouldn't be able to reverse the situation
Even though she knew Noah was indescribably powerful, she had doubted if he could save her.
Unless Noah had come into contact with an Origin Law and fully comprehended it.
Her mind heavily rejected this idea, considering the Origin Law, Law of Nothingness was something accessed by the Ancestral Goddess only and was lost with time.
"I am very serious. Dead serious. I can not only increase your lifespan but also make you truly eternal." Noah's words were hypnotizing and coercive, like a devil's whisper.
He was talking about eternal life as if it was a mere concept that could easily be achieved without breaking a sweat
Seeing the casual expression on his face, Bing'er choose to believe him a little bit.
It was not wrong to say that she forced herself to believe him.
As a matter of fact, she had nothing to lose.
Her life was already hanging by a thread.
With a determined expression on her beautiful face, Bing'er spoke, her words accurate and wise.
"Even though I can't validate your claims, I have decided to have a little hope in what you have said."
"What do you want in return?"
A momentary silence set in between the two before Noah's voice was heard.
"I see that you catch on rather fast. I like how you get straight to the point."
"Everything has to have balance or mutualism. Now to what exactly I want in return..."
"I want you to be my pet."
BOOM!
His words were like a grenade, bombarding her mind incessantly.
She suddenly felt ashamed of Noah's request and found it hard to keep her calm under such circumstances.
Her dignity and pride as an aloof Ice Phoenix, A True God Supreme Divine Beast, were on the line.
This was the first time in her life that someone speak in a rather conceited way in front of her.
All of these were just mere passing thoughts...in fact, she didn't feel offended, no, she felt disrespected a little bit.
She was wise not to throw a tantrum.
She knew her status in the current situation.
Noah had everything under his control.
She was already under his control.
With a calm and cold look on her face, Bing'er elegantly spoke in calculated precision.
"As long as you treat me right and fulfill your end of the bargain...I will gladly be your pet."
"If it means to have a new lease on life... I would swallow my pride and accept your request over and over again."
Noah unconsciously smiled when he heard her reply.
He couldn't help but like her simplicity and straightforwardness.
She was neither servile nor prideful.
She was refreshingly cool.
"Good. We have a deal. I will never mistreat you, Bing'er." Noah couldn't help but move closer and pat her head lovingly like the pet she was.
Her cold disposition immediately faltered as a pink hue colored her smooth cheeks.
She found it truly humiliating and embarrassing to be treated like a pet.
Despite that, she was also delighted by the warmth of his soft caresses.
She could feel his genuine intentions as clear as the day.
"Now...Let me grant my cute Bing'er, her little wish."
"From today onwards, you will live as long as I exist," Noah declared, his words were like an undeniable truth that couldn't be held back by the laws of reality.
He was essentially the Truth and Order, bending everything to his will.
Bing'er felt her withering life source instantly recover, and also her previously accumulated cultivation realm wasn't left out of the equation.
She couldn't measure her lifespan anymore, it was endless and inexhaustible, borderline irrelevant.
She felt truly eternal...death immediately became a joke to her.
She felt as if she could outlive time itself!
A limitless amount of pure vitality invigorated her whole body like an ocean tide, filling the trillions of cells in her body with unimaginable power.
"How do you feel?" Noah asked as he cupped her cheek.
"I feel...more alive than ever. Is this what being an eternal existence means? But how could you achieve this feat with how the laws of the Primal Chaos are fragmented?"
"Are you by chance the son of the Ancestral Goddess?" Bing'er asked with immense curiosity showing in her blue eyes.
"And what if...I was." Noah drew circles on her cheek using his thumb.
"Then I wouldn't be surprised then."
"Then who would be the father?"
"Eh, I don't know."
"Haha, you truly jest. Even the son of the Ancestral Goddess can't hope to achieve what I can achieve, let alone the Ancestral Goddess."
"Eh, don't you like bragging that much?"
"I brag with abilities at hand."
"Okay, you win."
"Mmmh, It was the laws of Nothingness."
"What?!" Bing'er raised her head and intently stared at Noah.
It looked cute as her height was 167cm compared to Noah's 196cm.
"Those are the laws that I used to reverse your condition to wholesomeness. I have fully comprehended them." Noah lightly pinched her soft cheeks.
With an impassive look on her face, you wouldn't notice whether she was enjoying it or not.
The only visible indication was the rosiness on both sides of her cheeks.
"Mmmh, I am not surprised anymore. Is there anything else that you can't do?" Bing'er hummed in a low voice.
Noah stopped playing with Bing'er's cheeks and leaned back with a thinking expression on his face.
"Hmm, I don't think there is anything I can't do...of course, that doesn't mean I am all-powerful."
"Right since we don't have anything to do in here, why don't you meet your inheritor?" Noah suggested.
He had a lot of things to do currently.
Many things.
Who was he kidding? They were maybe two or three things and even if they were many they would naturally not pose a problem to him, right?
"I am eager to meet her, I have missed the outside world for a very long time. I can't wait to see how it has developed," Bing'er smiled as an icy crown with glowing lustrous blue lights manifested on her head.
Her demeanor immediately changed as what replaced it now, was utter indifference and matureness and also the prideful air of a Supreme Ice Phoenix.
Such an amazing transformation!
"Is this your final form?" Noah laughed.
"What are you talking about? I have to maintain my image as the Ice Phoenix in front of my inheritor." Bing'er retorted as she started walking away from Noah.
Her beautiful feet were bare and each of her steps was ethereal.
With a misty veil hiding her sacredness, she looked mysterious and intriguing.
Her hips sashayed unconsciously beneath her blue dress, no, it wasn't deliberate but a form of natural elegance.
She was perfect.
"Wait for me, why are you in such a hurry?" Noah chuckled lightly as he followed behind in casual steps.
"I am just afraid of staying alone with you for a very long time," Bing'er replied coldly without looking back.
"You are my pet, I can't do anything bad to you."
"You think I didn't previously notice that evil glint in your eyes, you devil," Bing'er said jokingly. "What were you thinking during that time?"
Noah suddenly went silent and didn't reply.
He then started whistling some random ringtone he heard in his previous life with an air of nonchalance surrounding him as if he wasn't the one being asked a question.
"Hehe, guilty." The Ice Phoenix released a peal of sonorous laughter that was soothing to the ears as her figure disappeared from Noah's view.
Noah followed soon with a stupid expression on his face.
