After breakfast, they set off without packing any luggage or boxes. Leticia noticed the unusual departure, but said nothing. Devon didn't join her in the car; instead, Luis and Cecil accompanied her. Luis drove, while Cecil sat beside him, occasionally glancing back at Leticia.

She sat silently, her eyes fixed on her hands, gently tugging the lace of her blue dress. Her hair was secured in a tight bun, and her face was expressionless, her heart heavy with hurt. She felt numb, her emotions exhausted.

Cecil's soft voice broke the silence. "Are you mad at us, Leticia?" He turned to look at her, his eyes concerned. Leticia met his gaze, then glanced at Luis, who was focused on driving.

"I don't think I am," she replied, her voice flat. "Is there anything to be mad about?"

Luis spoke up, "Well, we're sorry. If it were anyone else, Devon wouldn't do this."

Cecil added, "Yeah, he's really fond of Jacintha. Don't be mad at him." Luis chimed in, "Or us."
