After listening to Janet, Alastair's panic had lessened significantly. Albeit he was worried, it was not as intense as it had been when he had seen Janet hurrying towards him. Seeing her distressed expression, he had started to fear for the worst, his heart thumping madly in fear.

Alastair wanted to teleport to Samantha so that he could reach her in an instant. However, guards and maids were walking around him, and his teleportation ability was the one power about which nobody but his family, Kenneth and Samantha had an inkling about.
