Ragnar had been staring at his son hopelessly as he thought of ways to help him out of the predicament he was in when he felt an intense power from beside him. It was anything he had felt before. And shockingly, he too felt the power in him change. He felt more clear-headed and relaxed.

Stunned, Ragnar turned to his right and the unexpected sight made his jaw drop. If the red light around Alastair was mesmerizingly frightening, the light around Samantha was unbelievably hypnotic and spellbinding. He could not take his eyes away from her as he watched her show her power in front of him for the first time.

Samantha was an angel, he knew it. Alastair had revealed her truth to him long ago. But to see her show her powers here, in front of him this way, he was more than gobsmacked and he gaped at her speechless. His eyes were filled with her charming form and the light she was emitting. At that moment, she was shining brighter than the sun.
