Alastair and Samantha started walking with her hand in his. He held her gently while his thumb caressed the back of her palm once in a while. This action of his was enough to send the poor girl's heart thumping in excitement. But she did not pull away from him, much to his happiness.

Samantha looked around her, watching the guards train while Alastair observed her. He was enchanted by the way her face was glowing in the morning sun, her cheeks were tainted pink and her eyes were sparkling as they reflected the brightness of the day. He was happy and the person reason for his happiness was walking beside him.
