Chapter 255: Credibility behind Samantha's words

Ragnar waited until Cyrus was out of sight before he returned his gaze on Samantha who looked frantic and terrified. Her green eyes were slowly turning red with tears and he could not help feel his heart ache to see her in this state. Even though she was yet to marry Alastair and became his daughter-in-law, he had already considered her to be one of his family members and to see her in such a miserable state made him feel frustrated.

"Samantha," Daphne held the girl's hands and led her to the couch. "How did you sense Alastair to be in danger, dear? Did something happen?" Even though she too was as worried as Samantha about her son, she was still comparatively calmer. Her face did not give away her emotions and Rangar appreciated her actions greatly.
