Chapter 241: Aftermath - Part 1

Samantha started to gasp for air as tears filled her eyes. The sudden gust of air sent waves of pain through her throat and nose and she could not stop herself from coughing. It took her a lot of time to return to normal and stop the suffocating feeling that had attacked her from out of nowhere the moment she opened her eyes.

Blinking away the tears in her eyes, Samantha frowned and pressed on her throbbing forehead lightly. She groaned softly and shook her head to force away her drowsiness. But the moment she did so, she sucked in a sharp breath as she felt a sting on her neck.

"Careful," Alastair exclaimed and scooted closer to her. He held her hand and rubbed it gently and slowly, a smile spreading on his lips. 

Samantha's body temperature was returning to normal and he sighed in relief on finding his beloved staring back at him, her green eyes curious and confused.
