Ave ran away from the direction where she had shared an intimate moment with the second prince until she reached the large open halls where more people she'd never seen before were still making their way to the dining hall for breakfast. She slowed down to avoid drawing attention to herself for running inside the palace and schooled her expression and flushed face.

She licked her lips to moisten them but could only taste Lucian's lips on hers, and her heart rate increased again as what they had just done flashed in her mind, overshadowing her fear of him being a vampire after her blood.
