Chapter 141: Don't look down

Nance scowled at the sight of Theodore's face. It wasn't a sight she welcomed.

Theodore involuntarily trembled. Those golden eyes once again reminded him of what fear was.

"What are you afraid of?" Ryan sat beside Theodore and asked, puzzled.

"... Huh? A ghost?" Theodore was dumbstruck. He had momentarily forgotten his fear, distracted by the sight of Ryan sitting cross-legged by his side.

"You can say so," Pondering for a while, Ryan nodded, feeling that it was quite useless to explain anything.

"Ah," Theodore was about to say something else. However, Ryan spoke first, interrupting his attempt.

"Look up."
