Chapter 40: Running from the devil

Bry's POV

Though Ray is still acting a bit odd, he agreed to follow me to class. He hasn't told me what went on between him and Sky. The only thing I know was he doesn't like the Beta any more.

Fan hasn't been of help. He's always singing so loud about falling in love and heartbreak.

.... Please, if you know where I can sell my system, indicate. It's getting too much.

I'm glad he doesn't mention the task I was assigned to, and I'm delighted about that. I don't have the time to listen to him drone about a task which I'm not ready to complete.

All around us, students hurried to their first classes. As for Ray and I, we are going to the cafeteria for breakfast. We missed it —by sleeping in — so we are hoping the cook will be awed by our cute faces, and give us a helping or two.
