This seems to be a poorly executed version of the transmigration trope. Tough woman of the future walks in on the man she likes doing the dirty with the trusted friend, dies, soul transmigrates into a deceased body of a woman betrayed by those she trusted in this ancient life. Seems that they have a lot in common, so why is the FL judging the original soul as stupid for being easily deceived? Cue painful memory recall; cue unforseen act of strength from this weak body; cue meeting betraying step family; cue the kindness expressed by a maid that has this unloved orphan from the future feeling warm and fuzzy; cue sudden determination to avenge original soul 🙄 Apart from this being so eyerollingly generically ‘cut and paste’ from the plethora of transmigration novels out there, it’s appallingly translated and sadly lacklustre in writing quality. Why bother reading (and ultimately paying for) a lazy piece of work when other writers and translators put in effort to deliver a more enjoyable proofread reading experience? I know that I have better things to do 🤷🏼♀️ Added note from a section where the FL notices a ‘fatty’. Judgemental language is a bit of a turn off in a FL. There are better ways to describe this person, after all it’s his drunken leering that should offend, not his weight. For example; ‘Su Mingue turned to see a clearly inebriated man stumble his way towards her’. Then you could describe his physical attributes or even slip it in as ‘inebriated heavyset man’. Either way, we judge his negative behaviour first before his unfortunate appearance. Just a suggestion 🤷🏼♀️
