Lady Gregory took a deep breath and continued to ask, "You're angry with Steve Burton, aren't you?"

There was no trace of laughter left on Ruby Gregory's face. She pursed her lips, lowered her gaze, and remained silent.

Just as Lady Gregory was about to speak again, the bedroom door was suddenly knocked on and then pushed open: "Madam, Miss, Mr. Steve is here."
