In the following days, the Guan Empire and the police released public statements one after another.

The police clarified to the public some details about the fire incident in XX police station. It became known that it was the place where the former chairman of the Guan Empire was being held. The burned body that was found in the underground prison was the suspect himself, thus, the trial was cancelled.

No one could press charges on a deceased suspect. The indictment had no further effect. Therefore, the trial could no longer be pursued.
