Chapter 23: JEALOUSY!
While the drama was still going on Arlo caught Althea's envious eyes glaring at Mahina. That was not the first time he saw her looking at Mahina enviously. Actually the first time he saw her cussing Mahina with her eyes was at the airport. He wasn't surprise because it was nothing new to him. He had seen her getting jealous of girls Alba dated times without number. How she obsesses over Alba who has no feelings for her was something Arlo couldn't understand.
Arlo wagged his head and mentally thought: 'This can't be good. Now I feel bad for Mahina that she caught the eyes of Alba, Althea's obsession. The wench has done nothing but made the lives of all the women Alba dated miserable. If there is ever a reason why Alba has not been able to find love, then she is definitely the reason. How can one person be obsessed with someone who has never been able to reciprocate their feelings? Arlo questioned himself as he looked at Althea with distaste.
'This human pariah will destroy her. She is lucky I like her. I won't let the demoness get to her. I will be her advocate. Arlo peered at Althea's every gesture. He watched her closely as she made a fist as if she was going to fight with Mahina. But something strange out of the norm happened, she released her feast and exhaled her tension. Shocked by her sudden action, Arlo jolted when she broke out her words of envy:
"What is Alba doing carrying a grown woman in his arms?" Althea complained. Jealousy was written all over her face. she felt like squeezing Mahina to suffocation. Why won't all these annoying women let go of her Alba. He is hers and hers alone and no one can take him away from her. She mentally complained. When will all these dramas with all the petty girls end and when will Alba finally realize that there is someone who loves him for who he is. She was unconsciously growling without realizing the eyes staring at her with distaste.
Axel and Arlo exchanged glances at each other at the sight of her jealousy. 'There is nothing special about this lady. In fact, I can tell she is a weak human who is hanging unto her life. She ridiculed Mahina in her thoughts. As she was still having her evil thoughts Arlo mocked her:
"Well for one he doesn't normally do that… it's clear that she is special to him that's why he is carrying her in his arms… and so lovingly." Arlo smirked at her in mockery. She looked at him annoyed but decided to keep calm. On a normal day she would have gone into a fist fight with him regardless of him being her senior. And no one would have been able to reconcile them unless they mark each other's body with injuries. Arlo was prepared for her but when she didn't react he instantly knew that She must be cooking up something evil in her mind. He was aware that his words would only provoke her all the more but surprisingly she didn't react like she normally would. Even though he intended to provoke her. But he was not to be bothered. After all he and Althea don't get along.
"She isn't even beautiful" Althea commented.
"Hmm? But she still caught the eyes of Alba effortlessly." He mocked her all the more with his befitting reply.
Axel looked at the two who were already glaring at each other like cat and dog, he sighed and said:
"The two of you better stop. We all know where this is getting to" Arlo looked away furiously and said:
"There was nothing to look at to begin with other than an annoying buzzing bee." Althea made a fist and went away from there. She didn't want to make a scene after promising Alba that she would be of her best behavior. Even though she didn't agree from her mind, she was putting up an act of being in her best behavior. Meanwhile in the secret of her mind had been scheming since she saw Alba with Mahina. She had to admit to herself that the girl wasn't like all the other girls Alba went out with. Because the way Alba looked at her was different, even the way he behaved with her was different. If Alba has never been in love she was certain that this particular girl was steering the waters of his heart.
Althea sat at the corner where her brother and Dora where seated grumpily. She wished so bad that she was the one in Alba's arms and not that plain jane Mahina. She grudgingly used ear pods to block her hearing from listening to Arlo sing and play the guitar.
The rest of the night was fun with the guys. Arlo played different sweet songs with his guitar. While the guys listened to him. Even though Ford buried his face in the book he was reading his head was moving to the sound of Arlo's music. Axel on the other hand couldn't take his eye of Arlo. He was looking at him while sipping his wine. Arlo's biggest fan for the night was Dora. She couldn't keep calm she stood up from sitting beside Ford and was jumping and waving her hands in the air to the sound of Arlo's music.
Alba and Mahina were seated on a couch at the far corner of the garden. Mahina tried everything within her strength to free herself from Alba's arms but couldn't. After several attempts she gave up and rested her head on his shoulders.
"Honestly Alba, I am curious… what do you want from me? I am a simple plain Jane. With nothing to offer you and my looks are average, I am not that smart, I am full of debts and my life is a mess. You make me nervous you know. Above all, I have got nothing to give you…" Even though Mahina said everything in other to loose Alba, she was also being sincere to him because she thought all those things of herself. She could feel that Alba deeply cares for her and that made her happy in her heart for the first time. But she was still scared and lost.
"You may be right but you are wrong for one thing… You have a lot to give me!" Alba answered her unfazed. He could see all through her attempts but there was no way he would give up, when for the first time someone made him feel alive. He smiled warmly at how she was clutching unto his shirt with her head resting gracefully on his shoulders. Looking at the endearing lady he whispered in a way she couldn't hear him: "you have turned a frozen barren land into a warm fruitful land." Mahina was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't even realize when Alba murmured. She just continued with her questions innocently
"And what would that be? My body?" Alba smiled at her. Yes, Mahina had the body of a goddess and the face of an angel but that wasn't what Alba was after. And it's not like he wasn't attracted to her sexually, or that he has never had thoughts like that, it was just that she made insatiable for a deeper love. He was just curious about Mahina and the way she made him feel. He has never been with a woman without her consent. But Mahina was the first woman he tried to seduce because she wouldn't give in to him. She was special unlike the rest that threw themselves at him. She was the only exception. The only one who was courageous enough to say no despite who he was. she was the only woman who was indifferent about him.
"Something more than your body" he smirked at her. Lilith looked at him with gentle eyes and beckoned to him with her head.

Axel and Arlo were fast asleep together in their luxury bedroom when they were woken up by the loud bangs coming from their door. Axel woke up shirtless and walked lazily to open the door. He found Althea standing angrily in front of their door. He rubbed his eyes lazily with a smug face as he said;
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!" she stared at the tall slender athletic man with perfectly defined muscles from head to toe. His broad strong chest looked dependable and admirable. His abs were tight, impressive and tempting to touch and his V-line couldn't be ignored as they were sexy.
Axel smiled at her stressed face. He was certain she stayed up plotting on how to come between Alba and Mahina. He yawned as he simply walked back to the bed in lazy strides. He sat on the bed with his legs crossed as he gestured to her with his index finger on his lips for her to keep quiet, while pointing at Arlo. Indicating to her that he was still asleep. She smiled as she sat on the armchair by the table opposite the big glass wall window:
"Unfortunately for you, I am here to talk to the both of you!" she yelled. Arlo woke up at the sound of her loud voice. He robbed his eyes cutely. Then he looked around trying to figure out what was happening. When he caught a glimpse of Althea. He frowned. He felt like kicking her out of their room at that instance:
"Now that you are awake I need your help with Alba!" she commanded the both of them. Axel and Arlo exchanged glances at each other like who does she think she is to order the both of them around? They weren't even in Amun and even if they were she had no right to do so to the both of them. After all they were from noble families as well.
"What do you want from us!"
