Chapter 69: It Wasn't A Metaphor

Izzy didn't want her friend to hold herself back on her account since there was absolutely nothing going on there. "Do you like Julian?"

Poor Roz had been in the middle of taking a drink of water and when she heard the question, she choked on it. She barely managed to sputter out "are you crazy?!" between her hacking coughs. 

When she finally got a hold of herself, she glared at Izzy through watery eyes. "Why would you think something so ridiculous? I told you, he reminded me of my dad!" 

"But you have a lot in common and you got him a graduation present even though you didn't have to."

"I got him the t-shirt because it's something my dad liked to wear! Ed and I got a shirt like it for him for his birthday because he's similarly fashion-challenged and he needed some variety to spice up his life and he ended up loving it. I could never have a crush on him! EVER!" 

Izzy frowned. "Why so vehement? He's not that bad."
