"Alright, so where are we going?" I inquired as Orlando was driving behind Crystal and Zach.
"Hahaha," Alejandro laughed in the back seat behind me. "You still haven't told her?"
"Nope, I haven't," Orlando chuckled. "Don't worry we are almost at our destination."
Eagerness was eating me alive. "You're such a pain, Orlando."
Alejandro and Orlando laughed at me when I saw a Ferris wheel up ahead. Along to come into sight were roller coasters and other crazy-looking rides.
"We are going to the amusement park!" I excitedly announced.
"Yup, before it closes for the season," Orlando shone affirmingly. "We thought it would be a good way to take your stress away."
"Yeah, I think we all need to let loose and have fun," Alejandro added.
"You guys are right on that one," I couldn't oppose them.
Every summer we always do something fun together and in August we always did something spontaneous before college starts. Unfortunately, this summer, we didn't get to do our vacations since Kai took the life I had away. He turned my world into a disaster. Yet I couldn't understand why my mother wanted me to go back to him. She must have been mistaken since her spirit was too unstable to fully communicate.
"Let's find a good parking stop," Orlando stated as he pulled in. We cycled around a few times but then he found one that was good enough.
Altogether we giggled, talked, and walked up to the paying booth to get in.
"By the way, I am paying for you," Orlando notified me with a smile. "So no complaining about it."
I giggled, "just this one time, I'll keep quiet."
Crystal giggled like crazy as Orlando said, "it's a start."
He then kissed my cheek without me realizing it was coming. I breathed deeply trying to maintain my composure but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find it so cute. Again, he made my heart sing from his affection. Get a grip here, Victoria!
"So what do we wanna ride first?" Crystal opened the map to the park and asked next to me.
"Something that will make you lose your top," Zach teased and Crystal folded the map up and used it to hit his chest while we all giggle. He swung her into his arms and they kissed romantically.
"Alright, you two," Alejandro intervened. "Let's get serious and ride some roller coasters!"
"What about the scary coasters first?" I gave my opinion when I looked at the unfolded map in Crystal's hand and saw the theme park has a spooky section and a walk-through haunted house.
"I had a feeling you'd wanna go there," Crystal giggled.
"It's my favorite," I laughed as we all walked alongside each other in our debate.
"I wanna go on the water rides," Orlando chuckled while he danced that up to no good eyebrows of his.
"Forget it!" I teasingly shot him down. "I know what you're planning."
"What?" Orlando played innocent.
"You just wanna get me soaked," I laughed.
"It's not my fault you and Crystal always end up drenched," Orlando teased which made us furthermore laugh.
Crystal giggled, "I'm with Victoria on this one."
"Before evening, we're going on the water rides," Alejandro sides with his twin. "It'll be refreshing."
"I'm in on that one," Zach declared. "For now let's hit the roller coasters!"
Crystal and I giggled together as we walked between the childish men. Without much say from being outnumbered. We got in the long line to the roller coaster. Ironically, Alejandro paired himself up with a pretty girl named Vanessa. Luckily, the line moved pretty fast. In no time, we got in our seats and strapped in. Then the crazy coaster took us up the high steep track.
Once at the tip-top, it launched us down, and Crystal and I screamed. Orlando grasped my hand when we hit the first loop and then up and down we went. My head whipped about as the wind pierced my face and blew my hair out wildly. Then we whipped around a sharp left curve and then a right before we ascended down to go in another bigger loop.
By the time that ride was done. My legs were shaky and every bone in my body rattled. Orlando wrapped his arm around me.
"Are you good?" He kissed my temple and I kinda pulled away.
"I'm good," I chuckled. I could tell he was hurt by my rejection but he kept his sensitive feelings in.
"Let's check out the pictures!" Crystal declared cheerfully.
Altogether, we looked at the pictures and found our gang together. Crystal and I looked terrified going in the loop. Then the guys were having a blast.
"I'm so buying that," Zach said, taking out his wallet.
"No, you aren't!" Crystal playfully argued. In the picture, her mouth was wide open screaming and her hair was flying back. My picture looked familiar. My eyes were squeezed tight and my mouth was partly opened. Then I noticed Orlando looking at me with his face smashed up against the wind. And I realized Orlando held my hand. It was very heartwarming for me to see how caring he was about me. Yet I had to bury it away. I have to keep my head straight.
"You are sleeping on the couch," Crystal giggled when Zach bought the picture of us.
Zach laughed at her and challenged, "yeah, you can try." He snuggled her up and they kissed each other between their giggles. Yet I noticed Vanessa dumped her friends and was all over Alejandro.
"Do you guys know each other?" I asked, walking with them in our group.
"Yeah, we met at a friend's party," Alejandro replied.
"Yup, it was like maybe two months ago," Vanessa added. "We've met up on and off since then."
"That's cool," I replied, unsure of what else to say. Alejandro always has a different lady hooked on his hip.
Up next, we rode on a few more roller coasters and then I got my way and we entered the haunted house.
