Chapter 18: Changing Tides

I lay down in my own bed, unable to sleep the entire night. What the hell was up with Ethan, and why did he suddenly just kiss me like that? Why was he so good at kissing? It couldn't be because he wanted to stand out; we were in his room, so no one was there. On top of that, the expression he made after the kiss was totally cheating!

He wasn't supposed to look more handsome now.

I was becoming weak to his smiles, and thankfully he wasn't waiting outside for me this morning. I walked to school myself, not bothering to text him, just thinking about the kiss. Why did I have to worry so much about getting caught up in his pace? Why was I so easily swayed by him?

I bumped into someone while staring into space, bringing me back down to earth. "Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going," I immediately said.
