CAROLINE'S POV

Nick looked nervous. Like he already had the idea of what I was about to say. I never met his eyes. Not because I feel guilty. But because I feel angry. What he did to me the other day tore me apart. I never showed it to anyone. But when there was no one home, or when I was awake at night, left with nothing but my thoughts, I would repeat his words and sob into my pillow. No girl should hear that from anyone. Especially their friends. Close ones. He was the first one to break the silence.

"I'm sorry for saying all those things, Caroline. I was stupid, I know. I don't know what had gotten into me. Please, just forgive me." he said

I sighed

"It isn't that easy Nick. I gave you a chance to redeem yourself. To prove to me that you're worth being my friend. But you messed up again. And honestly I'm just tired of hearing apologies and I'm tired of apologising. But... I wanna talk about something else." I said

He eyes me skeptically.
