CAROLINE'S POV

"So you drove to Daphne which is 5 hours away and found this" I stated

He nodded

"But the name in it isn't your mother's?"

"Yes. But the characteristics definitely belonged to her" I confirmed

I picked the journal up flipping through pages. I closed it and placed it back in the briefcase.

"How do you feel, Damian?" I asked

"What do you mean?"

"You see your parents as role models. And now, you found out that they were in a gang. And if I'm right, Damian... Your heart hasn't accepted that yet" I whispered the last part.
