I’ve read about 18 chapters so far and this novel seriously reminds me of “The Legendary Mechanic”. It’s like a cultivation world themed version of TLM where the MC enters the game world as an NPC before the ‘game’ officially releases to the players, he’s got a system and becomes a sword cultivator which seem to be the flashy ‘glass cannon’ class.

Do you enjoy soaking in a hot spring? Feels nice, right? Perhaps this story is for you. Cultivation, check. Game specs, check. Transmigration, check. Disaster, check. Big brains, questionable. Rizz meter, no clue. MC is Lu Qingshan who ended up in the body of an NPC with the same name inside the game "Nine Heavens." The story feels interesting, with him trying to get some big gains while changing the fate of the story. Not a bad story. Judge it for yourself.

Hopefully it is what I think it is. The synopsis gives me high expectations for this novel so I'll definitely read it when chapters release and see l.

I MTL'd 3/4 of the entire thing. This one starts really strong, for what it is. It's a shounen novel. The fights tend to drag a little, and the game elements take a back seat pretty quickly. I think the author was trying to capture the same kind of energy as The Legendary Mechanic. Unlike in TLM, there are some inconsistencies in the scope of the world, and the way people travel around. My main problem is that at the beginning of the novel, an entire province gets razed by the Abyss, but later on, with how many Nascent Soul and Void cultivators in the world, as well as how interconnected everyone is with teleportation formations, you have to wonder how that plot ever succeeded. It's the typical problem of the "powerful" enemies in the beginning of the novel being irrelevant way too fast, simply because they are way too weak in the scope of the world. Also, I'm not sure why the author decided to go route of making the MC super lucky... He already has the advantage of future knowledge, the author could have just made him pick up opportunities. Towards the middle, he is literally getting "randomly" teleported into ridiculous power-ups. The author acknowledges that his previous life knowledge is too low level, but that doesn't mean that you need to compensate by giving him silly luck. They should have made more use of the fact that he's smart and knows the trend of the world so that he can solve mysteries to get stronger. Still a good novel.
