Atlas and Leah were directly led to the garden. He looked at it with a smile, the garden looked so vibrant and inspiring. It was beautifully decorated, there was a pond with swans and a small bridge.
There was also a magnificent blossom tree, and underneath a table. Silas, Damien, and Daniel were sitting around it.
Atlas walked to them with a gentle smile, his eyes never leaving the blossom tree. Since his previous life, he loves them, Shengli had one in his garden.
By the time they turned 40, they were five more. Damien looked at Atlas, mesmerized, never in his life had he seen someone so beautiful.
With his long white robes and his long hair dancing in the wind, he was the personification of an angel.
He had a tender smile on his face, which made Damien's heart beat faster. He looked down at his chest, surprised. Silas, his father was looking at him since Atlas came in, and was surprised to see the fascination in his son's eyes.
His son has always been like that, he never hides his emotions. Daniel had also seen the reaction of his big brother, and was surprised just the same.
He has to admit that Atlas is indeed a beauty, but he's his. Damien said that he didn't want him, and his father forced him to take Atlas as his betrothed. He'll gladly do it, especially now that he's seen how much his brother likes him.
He's never seen him show interest in anything else, besides killing onis since he became high priest. Leah walked next to Atlas, but her eyes were only on Daniel.
She knows that her brother is to marry him, and she was fine with that. But now that she's seen him, she wants him. She never thought she could fall in love at first sight, but she did. She intended to seduce Damien, but she'll choose love now that she can.
It'll be easy to have him, she receives hundreds of marriage proposals every month. She smiled haughtily.
When Atlas reached them, Silas stood up. He was a man in his late forties with dark robes and long black hair, with a crown on his head. Silas watched him as he bowed, but he immediately tried to stop him. Atlas seemed determined though.
When Atlas stood up, he looked at him with a warm smile.
"Elder priest."
Silas looked at him, satisfied with his character.
He smiled back and saluted:
"High priest."
"Please, call me Atlas."
Silas nodded with a smile and presented:
"This is my eldest son, high priest Damien."
Atlas walked to him and scanned him. He had a chiseled jawline with almond-shaped green eyes. Damien's nose was well-straight, and he had full red lips. Damien was wearing dark robes, and his long dark hair was in a half ponytail.
He also had the forehead ribbon worn by the high priests, except that his was black. Damien stood up and held on to his arm tightly before he bowed.
Atlas looked at him surprised.
"No need for formalities, Atlas."
Atlas smiled and nodded
"Very well, Damien."
Hearing him say his name being called by him, Damien felt his heart tremble. He tilted his head, scanning him. Atlas could see that he was trying to decipher him somehow, as though he was attempting to glimpse into his mind.
It was confirmed when he received an alert from Aurora.
*Alert! Damien is attempting to use dark sight on host.*
While the high priest of the Church of Light has light sight, which allows them to see the level of purity in someone's soul and heart, the high priest of the Church of darkness has dark sight.
It allows them to see the level of darkness, in someone's soul and heart. Atlas doesn't mind, he is the original now, so his level of darkness will reflect that. He let him, and Damien looked.
Damien has always heard about how powerful the high priest of the Church of light was, and that he was kind and generous, but he never believed it.
Because their family received their power from the god of darkness, they can see how truly vile and cruel human beings are. At least the onis have an excuse, they are beasts while humans don't.
He never believed the rumors he heard about Atlas, no one can be that powerful and perfect, but he was speechless when he saw how utterly free from darkness his heart and soul were. He is truly an angel.
Atlas said with a smile:
"Hopefully you'll feel more comfortable now."
Everyone was aware of what Damien had done, they know him well enough. He doesn't trust anyone, and they can't blame him. When you can see people's darkness, it's hard to have faith anymore.
Silas glanced at Damien to find out what he saw, and quickly understood. He wasn't surprised that Atlas was free from darkness, he couldn't feel any malice or trickery the few times they met.
When he asked him if he would be okay marrying Daniel, he immediately accepted, while others would've felt offended. Atlas pulled his arm back and Damien let go.
He looked at Daniel and smiled warmly.
"Hello, I'm Atlas."
Daniel was stunned by his beautiful smile, he had seen it when he walked in, but seeing it up close was something else. He stood up and walked to him. He stood in front of Damien, who was still standing in front of Atlas.
Atlas scanned him. He was wearing dark robes as well, his hair was long and dark. He had a chiseled jawline, almond-shaped green eyes, and a well-straight nose, with full red lips.
Daniel smiled. He grabbed his hand and kissed it.
"Hello, I'm Daniel."
He smiled brighter when he saw the blush on Atlas' face. How can he be so sweet? He felt like a feather was tickling his heart. Maybe it's a good thing that brother refused him.
Leah watched the whole scene from the side, angry. She walked to Atlas' side, linking their arms together. She looked at him expectantly. Atlas rolled his eyes inwardly.
He presented.
"This is my little sister Leah."
Damien took a step to the left, annoyed by his brother ruining his beautiful sight of Atlas. Leah waited for at least one of the brothers to acknowledge her presence, but no one did.
She followed their sight and it landed on Atlas. Are you fucking kidding me? Even those who belong to the church of darkness fall for his act of an angel.
She had heard about Damien's coldness and bloodthirst, but right now, the only thing he seemed to be thirsty for, was his brother.
Her anger turned into rage when she saw the way Daniel was looking at Atlas. She pulled on Atlas' arm and looked at him with pitiful eyes.
Atlas was very annoyed. Leah was doted on by his brother, that's how she got away with stealing his light. Atlas won't let it happen, he'll make sure she pays deeply before she ends up being fed on by onis.
He looked at her worried and asked:
"What's wrong? You look pale, maybe you should get some rest. The journey must have been hard on you. Unfortunately, you're not as strong as I am."
Leah gnashed her teeth in anger and looked at Atlas intently, he looked worried about her. If she hadn't seen that worry, she could've sworn he said that last sentence deliberately to antagonize her.
Silas immediately offered:
"Come on, I'll send someone to accompany you to your chambers."
Leah looked at Atlas with hesitation, it's usually at that moment that the original would do everything she asks. I'm not your brother.
"Go get some rest."
Leah was surprised, but she still had to go, Atlas is the high priest first and her brother second. She followed Silas with a graceful smile. As she walked away, she glanced back in anger when she saw how the two were staring at Atlas.
