Alix opened the door instead of him and she found her mother standing outside. She was still a woman, not one that coveted Caishen's beauty however.

"You are not ready." Her mother took in the loose yellow dress which Alix was wearing.

Nice as it was, it did not qualify for red carpet material.

"I am struggling to find the appropriate outfit." she pointed to the horns. "The only way i can pull off a hat on the red carpet is if i am wearing a suit or doing cosplay like my husband suggested. He thinks i should go as a dragon girl."

"You could actually pass for a dragon girl." Auntie Mo moved from left and then the right. "In that case, we should all change our outfits to complement you. Thankfully, they have a mall in this city or we would be delayed."

She rushed away and started making calls, telling everyone that the dress code had changed.

"Mom, wait..." Alix called out futilely.
