Chapter 41: Chapter 41 - The white room

Surprise was all but written on Zyran's face when he noticed what jumped him. It was Sofia. He could have instinctively dodged or even swarted her to the side, fortunately he ignore his instincts and allowed her to embrace him.

Looking down, Zyran could see the little brown head rubbing itself on his chest and her small arms that struggled to wrap around him, just when the temptation to push her back began to rise, his hands already a few inches from her shoulders, he noticed that her body was quietly shivering, followed by the feeling of something flowing down his chest.

It only took a split second to realise that she is in fact silently crying, as her shoulders would shake from time to time.
